Governor Bobby Jindal will be in Shreveport today to begin a tour around the state highlighting his economic development wins during his two terms in office. Jindal will tour the Benteler Steel/Tube facility and visit with employees. Tomorrow, he’ll be at CenturyLink in Monroe. His former Economic Development Secretary Stephen Moret says Jindal worked hard a bringing jobs into Louisiana.

Governor Bobby Jindal and Dallas-based Monster Moto announce the company will establish a headquarters and manufacturing facility in Ruston. The project includes a $4 million investment to build a 100,000 square foot facility at the former site of Ruston's municipal airport.

Louisiana is seeing the beginnings of a construction boom that may last through 2016 and beyond. Figures from the Associated General Contractors of America shows Louisiana had an 8.3% increase in construction jobs over the past 12 months; the 3rd-highest in the nation. LSU economist Dr. Loren Scott says the boom is just beginning.

Governor Jindal and other officials held groundbreaking ceremonies Thursday, for a huge new technology center that will employ hundreds. Mr. Jindal says preliminary construction has already begun on the IBM site, facing the Mississippi River.

Baton Rouge is ranked at the top of a list of American cities with great economic growth potential. The ranking is from "Business Facilities", a trade publication. Adam Knapp is president of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber (of commerce). He says it's great to see the Capitol City at the top of a "good list".
