A second person has died as a result of Thursday's chemical plant explosion in Ascension Parish. State Police Captain Doug Cain identifies the victim as 47-year-old Scott Thrower of St. Amant. Cain said Thrower was listed in critical condition at Baton Rouge General Medical on Friday morning.

"He had been on our radar throughout the night, because we knew that he had a hard road ahead of him," Cain said. "Unfortunately, he lost his battle."
29-year-old Zachary Green of Hammond also died in the blast. Green was hired by Williams Companies, the owner of the plant, last October.

LSU Season
As LSU heads to the Music City Bowl, how do you rate the season?
It was a good season!.
It was a re-building year, so all in all, it was OK.
Not bad, but we lost a couple of games we should have won.
I'm disappointed. We had the talent to do better.
